Daryl Hannah is in “The Garden” and it is a must see!

Yes, the ubiquitous ex-mermaid washed up yet again. This time she makes an appearance as ‘herself’ in the documentary The Garden now out on video.

The Garden is about the largest community garden in the world, in South Central Los Angeles. It is a moving and relevant film which helps to show why people have a difficult time getting positive things done for their communities even if the cause is noble and just.

It is of course uplifting and heartbreaking and is such an amazing story that it is destined to be made into a feature film.  The characters are unbelievable. The corruption is unbelievable.

This is an amazing story and the people are even more incredible. There are real heroes. The heroine is a beautiful woman with amazing depth and character. There is a charismatic pro bono lawyer. A old Black Panther who still got game.  The villains are equal to the task.

This is as good as it gets for this type of documentary. It is beautifully told with no narration. You are there in court, at the protests, at the meetings, but most of all in The Garden.

This is a must see for activists and anyone who cares about why and how our communities are being torn apart. This movie needs to be seen and people need to realize that this is what is happening everywhere. The greed of a few individuals is being put before the needs of large groups of people. It is intolerable and is leading to the destruction of our planet and species.

This movie is a microcosm of what is happening on the world stage of politics and community activism.
